The short version
WokWord collects anonymous gameplay data to improve game balance. In the app, an anonymous account keeps your progress and your leaderboard scores: no email, no name unless you pick one. You can delete it any time. It's a word game.
What we collect
WokWord collects anonymous data to help improve the game's balance, difficulty and stability. No personal information is required, nothing you type is collected, and this data is tied to a randomly generated device identifier — not to your identity. It includes:
Gameplay events: when the app opens and goes to the background, which modes and rounds are played and how they end, scores, the power-ups picked and items used, settings changed, and the app version.
Game replays: for each run, the board and every move made (the letters traced, including attempts that weren't words), so a run can be played back to see where it got hard.
App diagnostics: the device model, operating system and version, screen size, language and time zone, slow moments during play, and error messages from the app (shortened, with no personal data).
Your account, cloud save and leaderboards
The Android and iOS apps make an anonymous account the first time they go online, so your progress can be restored and your scores can go on the leaderboards. It holds:
Your account: a random player id, a board name (a generated one like “BraveFox”, or one you pick) with a number tag, and a country (from the network your device used when the account was made; you can change it).
Your cloud save: your game progress — XP and Rank, coins, looks, achievements, records and stats, Daily results, and your sound settings.
Your leaderboard scores: each score posted from a Daily or Blitz, with the replay of that run (the board and every move), which other players can watch. Daily replays are deleted after 30 days.
This data is linked to your player id, not to your identity, and is never used for tracking or advertising. Other players see only your board name, tag, country and scores. The web version makes no account.
Deleting it: Settings → Delete my data removes your account, cloud save, leaderboard scores and their replays from our servers at once. The progress on your device stays.
Automatic technical requests
When the app checks for updates, your device makes a standard HTTPS request to playwokword.com. This is a normal network request — we do not log, store, or process IP addresses or device identifiers from these requests.
Third parties
Gameplay data, accounts and cloud saves are stored on our own servers (Supabase). No advertising SDKs, no data brokers, and no third-party analytics platforms are used. The Android and iOS apps do not include any advertising SDKs.
Children
WokWord does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The gameplay data and the anonymous account described above are not tied to any personal identity.
